Our 1st meeting of 2009/2010 will be held at the Hebert-Kennedy Post 3979 in Cloquet, MN on August 8th and 9th.

Comrades:

1. The following meetings are announced:
Fall Meeting - October 3 & 4 - Deer River Post 2720
Winter Meeting - February 20 & 21 - Eveleth Post 1172
Loyalty Days - April 30, May 1 & 2 - Cook Post 1757

2. Lets get going on Membership. We all must work diligently to gain and maintain our membership to ensure Veterans Voices are heard on important issues in the Public and Political arenas.

3. Posts are reminded to submit required reports as soon as possible so the District can achieve 100%.

4. Posts are reminded that the following contributions are due in Department Headquarters:
- Dept Hospital Recreation Fund $50.00
- Camper Fund $10.00
- and if you have a club - a Club Assessment $60.01

5. Post inspections are being conducted, the inspectors will coordinate specific dates. Please have all necessary documentation available, including Trustee's report.

6. District assessments have been sent out, please pay them as soon as possible.

7. Department Fall Conference will be September 25 - 27, 2009 in Wilmar MN. Their will be no Gambling Seminar at this meeting. (Posts cannot use Gambling Funds to pay for attendance.)
